It’s almost six months since I’ve a written a post, but I’ve been busy drafting my literature review, revising earlier chapters, drafting my discussion and now thinking about my research conclusions. I also fractured my wrist in June that has slowed me down but thankfully I was able to use the Dictate features in ScrivenerContinue reading “Just in case…”

Organising the chaos… EndNote part 2
From April 2021: It’s been a few months since my Endnote and Scrivener integration discoveries. Since then I’ve been drafting and redrafting my PhD research proposal in Scrivener along with my list of references, then copy/pasting it all into Microsoft Word for supervisor and peer review and feedback, WHAT? I’m not alone according to Kim Etherington (2004) who noted “When I first heard the word reflexivity, I thought it meant the same as reflection, as indeedContinue reading “From reflective practitioner towards reflexive researcher… the research journal”
“Nobody can make you go online, it’s my choice” (Anne, 79)
August has been busy with data collection for my PhD study. A stretch target of 100 responses to my survey would be ideal and so far 74 responses have been recorded, with 69 of these fully complete from the target age cohort. Recruitment remains open for another month so keeping fingers crossed on that score.Continue reading ““Nobody can make you go online, it’s my choice” (Anne, 79)”
