A community-of-peer learners

In recent months I have been spending some time preparing for my upcoming viva exam and have been fortunate enough to have had not one, but two practice runs with peers during April and May. Their feedback, individually and collectively, was incredibly valuable and allowed for considerable improvements to be made between the runs andContinue reading “A community-of-peer learners”

From reflective practitioner towards reflexive researcher… the research journal

In the same way that my head does not clearly grasp the difference between practice and praxis (I’m being honest here) I also struggle with reflection and reflexivity. Four resources were suggested and while I would have liked to have selected one of the SEDA specials I couldn’t locate a library source, so selected Chandran’s presentation instead. I wasContinue reading “Reflecting on PACT week 3”

It’s been a funny old week

It’s Thursday and normally my fortnightly blog post is published at this stage but as the post title says, it’s been a funny old week. Not funny in the ha-ha sense and this post aims to explain my thinking about where I’m at right now and where I’m going (in the direction of a PhDContinue reading “It’s been a funny old week”
